Hi Everyone,
Well it's been a busy few weeks since the Heineken Cup Final. Let me start with the Final itself. What a great event. I have seen these games on television before but to play in one was something else.
The Munster crowd support is second to none and the celebrations after the game was not only had by the team but also all of our supporters, who seem to know personally someone in the team. It was a wonderful event to play in, especially being my first year with Munster.

The weekend after the final I linked up with some of my old team mates in Tokyo to play a game for the Classic All Blacks. It was great to catch up with the likes of Carlos, Carl, Troy, Angus, the names go on and on. It was like a reunion. We played the Japanese national team, coached by John Kirwan. We managed to scrape a win 15 - 13. It was a wet day which didn't really suit the style of rugby we were hoping to play. Nevertheless, we all had a lot of fun.
I have been on holiday with my family on a cruise around the Mediterranian. We had a fantastic time seeing and learning about lots of incredible historic places.
Our stops included Rome...
Dubrovnic, Croatia...
Kusadasi, Turkey...
Mount Olympia, Greece...
and a donkey ride up to the top of Santorini.
My son turns one on the 28th of June. Time has certainly flown by. Both Monique and I are loving being parents.
Doug.
