Fan of the Year 2007

Congratulations to Dance_with_Blues - the DH Club Fan of the Year for 2007!

Hullo everybody,

It’s a great honour to be the Fan of the Year of DH.com, even though the feeling was complicated when I got to know the news in the first place.  Thanks to everyone who voted for me and you have my word that you won’t regret your decisionJ

My name is Angela Lo (aka Dance_with_Blues) and I am a member of Doug’s EFF (elder female fans) Club;p  As today (Jan 8th) happens to be my birthday, it means I am taking another step towards the senior members …lol. I joined the message board in Aug 05 but had been sneaking around long before then.  I have made a few friends here.  The roller coaster experience through the past has been amazing and no matter what will happen in future, it will always be glamour to be kept in mind for years to come.

Dougie is one of our Kiwis favourite sons and we all have seen his brilliance and gentleness on and off the field.  Things we won’t forget will be his long term dedication and commitments to our community and his team… and of course his locks flying with his sprinting on the field as wellJ

It’s summer time in NZ now and people are enjoying the fabulous season round and around by laying down on the grass indulging the mild breeze while listening to music in the park, or sinking your feet into the seawater and watching the kids chasing the waves, the dog chasing the kids or vice versa …… and its always cool to chill out with mates while waving cricket bats or frizzling salmon steaks in the backyard (suck back your dribble Doug;p).

Doug, it’s hard to accept the fact you and some of your old team-mates will be out of our reach. From now on we can only watch you from a distance (a very long one *sighs*)… but I wish you and your family all the best and your stint with the Munsters will open up a whole new experience for you which may benefit our younger generation of rugby fanatics when you come back.
