Doug's update

Doug prepares for new season.

The Munster squad is in training for the new season, which kicks off on the 23rd August with a friendly against a United States XV in Connecticut.

Doug is pleased to announce the launch of his Outreach Foundation which he has setup to help level the playing field for under-privileged children.

Having played Rugby since the age of 6 I feel extremely grateful for the opportunities my parents provided for me which have enabled me to fulfill my dream of becoming an All Black, representing New Zealand in its national game.

Unfortunately not all children who grow up in this country are as fortunate as I have been and it is my goal and passion to see this change.

Through the Doug Howlett Outreach Foundation I aim to use the public profile I have gained through playing rugby to make a difference in the lives of children and to make a positive contribution to their future, so they can achieve their goals both on and off the field.
